Life Drawing with Benjamin II

A1 Blue Sugar Paper, Black and White Paint with Card

The first time I used the method of card painting (see my Angkor Wat Painting, which was painted a year after this). The white shows the light tone, the paper’s colour shows the mid tone, while the black shows the dark tone.

b2A1 White Cartridge Paper, Water Soluble Ink Marker with Brush

I focused on the outlines with the marker, then used the brush to do the darker tones on the painting. It also created a watery effect since the water from the brush dripped down the paper, also creates a bleeding effect. (Which inspired me to exaggerate this technique in Let it Bleed.)
